Fearne Cotton has revealed tumours have been found on her jaw and she will soon undergo surgery to remove them.
The iconic TV presenter said that while the tumours are benign, they do require imminent surgery.
She also thankedDavina McCall – who recently underwent surgery to remove a tumour from her brain – for her support during this difficult time.
Alongside the video sharing the news, Fearne wrote: ‘Hey gang I’m going to be out of action for a bit due to a surgery.
‘I felt a lump under my ear on my jawline a while ago now but this year noticed it was growing.
‘Turns out it’s a benign tumour and another small one above it on the saliva gland.
‘I’m feeling positive about it all and will take the opportunity to rest and slow right down.
She also urged fans to take their health seriously and check out anything amiss with a doctor: ‘If you feel a lump or bump or feel like something is a bit off, always go get it checked.
‘I’m so glad I did as the longer you leave these things the more complicated things become.
‘It’s obviously so weird that only a couple of months ago Davina told me about her tumour and then weeks later I was calling her having discovered mine.
‘I’m not only lucky she’s a bloody good mate but also a beacon of light and positivity when it comes to this stuff.
‘Sending you all loads of love and I’ll see you soon,’ she said.
Her story is not dissimilar from McCall’s, who revealed to fans on November 15 that she would be undergoing an operation to remove a benign brain tumour.

Before going into surgery, which she later revealed was successful, Davina explained on Instagram: ‘Hi so I’m posting this, it will be Friday morning and I’m doing it because a few months ago, I did a menopause talk for a company and they offered me a health scan in return which I thought I was going to ace. But, it turned out I had a benign brain tumour called a colloid cyst which is very rare, three in a million.
‘I put my head in the sand for a while, I saw quite a few neurosurgeons, I got lots of opinions, and I realised that I have to get it taken out. It’s big for the space, it fills the space. It’s 14mm wide, and it needs to come out because if it grows it will be bad.

‘So I’m having it removed via a craniotomy through the top of my head here, and through the two halves of my brain, to the middle, get the cyst, empty it, take it out, “Bob’s your uncle.”
‘So say a prayer for me. I am in good spirits.’
