Laura Woods and Adam Collard ‘absolutely in love’ as they dote over newborn baby boy

Sports pundit Laura Woods recently gave birth to her first child with former Love Island star Adam Collard—and they’re truly besotted.

The TV host, 37, and fitness influencer, 29, announced in July last year that she was pregnant with their first baby.

Their joyous news came just months before reality TV Lothario Adam popped the question and the couple confirmed their engagement.

Taking to Instagram this weekend, Laura and Adam revealed to their combined following of over 1.7million that they had welcomed a son.

‘Leo Ernie Collard, our boy ????’, the caption read as they also shared his name.

Photos posted by the new parents showed the little one sleeping soundly in their arms at the hospital, sitting in his carrier as they took him home, and then meeting their dog.

Another snap showed Laura and Adam kissing on the lips and then beaming with happiness as they left the hospital.

Laura and Adam were quickly inundated with congratulatory messages, with Love Islander Liam Reardon commenting: ‘Massive congratulations both of you ????????????’

‘Congratulations mate x’, wrote Finley Tapp.

‘Leo ????❤️. Congratulations you absolute icons xxxx’, commented Lucy Spraggan.

Wayne Lineker joked: ‘No more trips to ibiza now mate ???? Congratulations guys ????’

On behalf of Luca Bish, who was in the Love Island vill with Adam during his second stint and is now appearing in All Stars, his team wrote: ‘He’s in the villa finding his human to baby make with ???? but I know Luca would be chuffed for you. Congratulations ❤️’

After a day of soaking up all the love, Laura took to her Instagram Story to show little Leo lying across her, writing: ‘Thank you for your lovely messages.

‘Trying to reply, but hands are full with this little guy. Absolutely in love x’

Adam also shared a sickeningly adorable snap of his firstborn asleep, wearing a striped elephant onesie.

He penned: ‘Thank you for all the lovely messages & comments for our boy Leo’.

Adam added: ‘Will get back to as many as possible soon but for now I’m going to keep staring at the little fella x’

Keeping the romance alive in their relationship over a year on, the TV personality also bought a high bouquet of roses for his other half with the word ‘Momma’ spelt out in white flowers on top.

‘For the girl @laurawoodsy’, he said.

Upon announcing her pregnancy last summer, Laura shared a photo of her ultrasound scan with their pooch peeking out behind.

‘Hey, baby ????’, the caption read simply. The comments were disabled.

Then, in September, Laura debuted her dazzling engagement ring after he got down on one knee in a place special to them both, as it was where they ‘fell in love’.

Sharing a selfie taken on the beach in Cornwall, Laura penned: ‘You make me happy @adamcollard ????.’

Laura and Adam went public with their romance in October 2023 and initially kept things low-key.

But over the past year, they have slowly started sharing more about their relationship, whether by leaving flirty comments on one another’s Insta pics or uploading photos from romantic trips.

Speaking previously to The Mirror, Adam said things were ‘going great’ between them.

‘She’s amazing and we are having a lot of fun. It feels like I’m living the dream,’ he added.

Adam, who first appeared on Love Island in 2018 and again in 2022 is known for having a colourful relationship history, which includes high-profile dalliances with Paige Thorne and Kate Moss’ younger sister Lottie.

Chatting on the Getting Lippy Gossip Show in 2023, he revealed his relationship with Laura began a few months after their first meeting.

‘I’d followed her on Instagram because I’d seen a Lionesses game or something like that, and then I DMed her because she put, like, a funny meme on her Story,’ he shared.

‘The funny part of the story is, for a football fan as well, I actually didn’t know who she was.

‘Well, I knew who she was as in I recognised and knew her face, but I didn’t know that was Laura Woods in terms of her.

‘So I went in for a podcast… [and] she walked past me and the girl that was chaperoning us through was like, “That’s Laura Woods” and I was like [shrugs] but she had her back turned to us, she was, like, miles behind us.’

Adam said ‘months and months’ went by before he tried shooting his shot.

He also said he felt ‘protective’ of the TNT Sports host, declaring: ‘I want to get married. I want to have kids as well. I’ve always thought, what type of person will I be? How can I protect my kids?’

On what kind of father he will be, he mused: ‘Obviously, I’ve never had a kid, but I don’t think I’ll be plastering it all over [social media]. I want them to have a fair fight and a chance not to be judged straight away.

‘As long as my really close circle knows exactly who I am, I don’t care. I think you have to take everything with a pinch of salt.’

As for Laura’s dating history, she largely keeps her romances away from the public eye. However, she dated former England rugby player Alex Corbisiero for eight years.
